Tarps

Messing around with our Integral Designs Sil Tarp working out some different configurations for short term shelter and came across these images that show some great ideas for setting up your tarp. Zombies, Aliens, and TEOTWAWKI

In the past few years, I've been following along with pop culture's interest in doomsday scenarios. Whether it's roving zombie hordes, alien invasions, TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It), or the ever popular SHTF (*?!@# Hits The Fan), the common theme revolves around preparing yourself to survive and exist during a time of adversity.

Handy tip for today...

If you use a Zippo lighter and you find it dries out quickly or leaks in your pocket / pack, here's a handy tip we learned from our friend Old Man Pete...

Put a piece of old bicycle tube over the lighter. Simply roll down the tube when you need a light and roll it back up when you are done. We've found that this works well to reduce spills and increase the longevity of the fluid in the lighter. Thanks Pete!
